Pre-K Teacher

I have been a Pre-K teacher at Westbury Friends School since the 2002-2003 school year.  I first became aware of the school when I was placed here as a student teacher in Mrs. Wilmot's Nursery Class. It was during that time that I fell in love with the school and its Quaker philosophy on education. I was intrigued with the obvious sense of community within the school, yet its clear focus on the individual. Upon graduating from Queens College, with degrees in both Early Childhood/Elementary Education and Psychology, a position opened at Westbury Friends which afforded me the opportunity to work in what I believe to be one of the finest educational programs around. I can truly say that it is a pleasure coming to work every day.

 On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Bob for what feels like my whole life (that's a good thing), and we have two grown sons and one precious grandson. I like bowling, playing pinochle, food and on occasion have enjoyed bungee jumping and white water rafting.
