First Grade Teacher
I knew early on in life that I was destined to become a teacher. Those early days of forcing my little brother to practice his ABC's have paid off, as I have enjoyed teaching since 1992. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Teacher's College at Columbia University, and spent 12 years teaching Kindergarten before giving birth to my daughter. My family and I moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where we enjoyed living the small town life for 4 years before my husband's job brought us back to Long Island. Upon our return in 2007, I was lucky enough to discover Westbury Friends. I am happy to be a part of this close knit, caring community and look forward to many more years at this special place.
Outside of school, I spend my time doing various crafts, cooking and baking. (I'm famous for my chocolate cupcakes!) I also enjoy children's literature, both reading it and writing. As a family, my husband, daughter and I enjoy bird watching and spending time with friends. We try to get down to Pennsylvania at least twice a year.
